The ECN self-cleaning bottom insert is distinguished by its special contoured shape that allows debris to flow freely toward the pump inlet. The use of the ECN bottom insert makes it possible to reduce the area of sediment accumulation and eliminate dead zones characterized by a high potential for accumulation of contaminants. The ECN bottom insert guarantees a reduction in the volume of wastewater remaining in the tank after the pump is turned off (after the MIN level is reached), i.e. a reduction in the dead volume where anaerobic processes occur and toxic and odorogenic substances are formed.

Product characteristics
- The pump coupling elbow is anchored to both the flat bottom of the pump house tank and the slant wall of the insert
- The insert has a specially contoured shape under the angled coupling elbow designed to eliminate the possibility of retaining solids and long-fibered parts under the cast iron elbow
- On the inclined wall and on the bottom of the insert, the locations of the mounting anchors are traced in the form of bean-shaped recesses in the material to enable the correct positioning of the coupling assemblies
- Adequate structural strength of the insert is ensured by the use of high-quality GRP material (fiberglass and polyester resins)
- The applied smooth gel-coat on the entire inner surface of the insert guarantees the free flow of debris towards the pump inlet without getting caught on the surface of the insert due to the very low roughness coefficient of the coating
Construction
The ECN bottom liner is made of the highest quality fiberglass and polyester resins (GRP). The inside of the insert is covered with a chemically resistant gel-coat with a very low coefficient of roughness, which prevents the occurrence of hydraulic flow resistance as well as the mechanical deposition of solid particles on the The coating prevents the occurrence of hydraulic flow resistance and mechanical deposition of solid particles on the surface of the liner, so that they flow freely in the direction of the pump inlet guaranteeing self-cleaning of the bottom zone of the pumping station.
