Type ODZ Water de-ironizers are designed for water treatment, in particular for turbidity
removal and de-ironing, i.e. the removal of iron compounds contained in water
in various forms. Using such water in an installation results in contamination
of the installation with iron compounds. The iron removal process is carried out
by
aerating the water through an aspirator installed between the pump and the
hydrophore tank and a splash nozzle located in the hydrophore. The water is then
passed through a
filter bed located in the deaerator. The bed is not designed
to remove nitrates from the water and does not affect the bacteriological status
of the water. The compounds precipitated during the aeration process are retained
on the filter bed and removed during the rinsing process.
