Pump systems for flooding water levees.

Pump systems for flooding water levees. Pouring kits for centrifugal pumps.

Hydro-Vacuum S.A. offers pumping systems for flooding water levellers or centrifugal pumps that have no self-priming capability. Such a system can operate, depending on the agreement with the customer in automatic or semi-automatic option automatic. The completeness of the system (scope of delivery) is always adapted to the requirements of a particular customer.

Almost all centrifugal pumps can operate on suction, however, only self-priming pumps have the ability to self-priming, that is, emptying the suction pipeline of air, which is a prerequisite for suction operation.

Self-priming pumps are produced in a limited range of sizes and designs. In the event that a centrifugal pump does not have the self-priming capability, to be able to pump with suction requires flooding the pump, and the entire suction pipeline.

The priming of centrifugal pumps , which do not have the ability of self-priming, is done by means of vacuum pumps with a rotating liquid ring. Since steam and water molecules are also pumped along with the sucked air, such a pump must be resistant to these very factors. Hydro-Vacuum S.A. produces such features. PW/DW-type water-ring vacuum pump. These pumps can also be used for flooding water levellers.

The standard system manufactured by Hydro-Vacuum S.A. for flooding water jacks and pumps consists of:

  • Vacuum pump (PW)
  • Vacuum tank (ZP)
  • Tank separating the pumped gas from the working fluid (ZBP)
  • Piping
  • Fittings (valves)
  • Control and measurement fittings (pressure and temperature sensors and transducers)
  • Protection and control system
  • Water presence systems (ZKP + fittings) for each centrifugal pump

Flooded systems are used wherever there are surface water intakes where pumps that do not have the ability to self-priming. A pumping unit for flooding levees manufactured by Hydro-Vacuum SA, works in a groundwater pumping station, protecting the Gromiec village near Libiąż from flooding.

Hydro-Vacuum S.A. Pump Selection Progam.

Quick and simple online tool for pump selection based on set criteria.

Thanks to the PDP, by means of the "Hydraulic Selection" function, specific pumps can be selected by configuring, among other things, the area of application, pump type, pump design, medium to be pumped, operating point, etc. Alternatively, by using the "Product Catalogue", you can conveniently browse through the pump catalogue which is Hydro-Vacuum S.A. 's production offer.

The result of the selection is a data sheet for the pump containing all the necessary hydraulic (characteristics), electrical, material, construction, dimensional, etc. data.

The first thing to do is to register a new account. After entering some necessary data and approving the form, an activation link will be sent to the e-mail address provided. After clicking on the link, you will be able to make full use of the Hydro-Vacuum S.A. Pump Selection Software.

We encourage you to create an account and try our program.
