OPA, OPB vertical pumps have been designed to pump and increase the pressure of drinking water and household, that contains no contamination and abrasive and long-fiber content (sand content up to 50 g/m3 [for OPA.0; OPA.1; OPA.2; OPA.3; OPB.2 and OPB.3] and 100 g/m3 [for OPA.4; OPA.5; OPA.6; OPA.7]). OPA pumps can also be used to pump other liquids than water, with their viscosity up to 200 mm2/s and with corrosive power within corrosion resistance of materials applied on their construction.

OPA, OPB pumps are used in:

  • drinking and household water supply systems (water lines, hydrophores),
  • high pressure circuits,
  • irrigation systems,

  • boiler feeding,
  • cooling systems,
  • fire-fighting systems,
  • laundry,
  • industrial washing shops,
  • rinsing systems,
  • washing systems,
  • condensation water pumping (OPA.4 ÷ OPA.7 only).

  • Motor power: 0,75 ÷ 22 kW

Construction

Vertical multi-stage rotary pumps with opposite intake and pumping short pipes ('inline' system). The pump's drive is transferred from a standard flange electric motor by a coupling (clamp sleeve coupling in the OPA.0, OPA.1, OPA.2, OPA.3 pumps and sleeve coupling in the OPA.4, OPA.5, OPA.6, OPA.7 pumps). The upper body of the pump functions as a base for the motor mounting.

Axial forces occurring within the system during the pump's operation are transferred by a rolling bearing, which is permanently mounted inside the head of the pump (does not require manual operation for the entire period of use).

Radial forces are transferred by a slide bearing, which is lubricated with a pumped medium and secured against dry operation thanks to its location – the bearing is mounted in the intake area of the pump's lower body.

The shaft of the pump is sealed with a front (mechanical) seal in the upper body of the pump; the type of a seal is dependent on the pressure and temperature of the pumped medium.

Advantages of OPA, OPB pumps

OPA pumps are characterised by high efficiency and durability, that result from application of the company's own design of pump elements enables customers to obtain the optimal hydraulic systems.

The main advantages OPA, OPB pumps are as follows:
  • location of suction-pump ends ("in-line") makes it possible to obtain simpler installation,
  • vertical pump layout enables us to save space at the place of pumping unit installation,
  • pump design permits using the standard engine (collar from IMV 1 or IMV 18), which makes pump service considerably easier,
  • clamp-sleeve coupling ensures simple and problem-free disassembly and assembly of the motor on the pump assembly,
  • external jacket together with the circulating water create a "screen" around the pump, which considerably decreases hydraulic noises,
  • the location of the slide bearing in the lower casing, always filled with water, protects it from dry operation and avoids fast wearing.

  • other data.
